Background and Experience:
Since qualifying in 1984 Stephen has worked extensively in all aspects of medical and surgical physiotherapy in the NHS and then later managed a physiotherapy and sports injury department of a private hospital. Since 1994 Stephen has been in private practice in Thame and Aylesbury with his own clinic 'The Physio Clinic'.

Stephen's approach to treatment is a blend of his physiotherapy and acupuncture skills to effectively treat muscoskeletal injury, imbalance and over use by encouraging the body to work as a cohesive unit instead of a collection of different parts. A patient with pain in his back will not just receive palliative care of that area the function of the whole spine will be assessed and muscular and movement abnormalities will be corrected before pain relieving treatment is given.

Stephen firmly believes that there is no hi-tech substitute for the use of hands as the main tools of diagnosis and therapy, although he uses electrotherapy for treatment when it is required.

Stephen enjoys spending time with this family and as well as being a keen supporter of London Wasps and a Steward at Twickenham RFC, he enjoys playing five-aside football and badminton.
