Halina Pytlasinska

Halina has been a counsellor and psychotherapist for twenty-eight years. She has extensive experience working in agencies, charities, employment assistance programmes, colleges and universities. Halina works as a general counsellor and as a relationship counsellor with individuals and couples.

She believes that counselling can help individuals to feel seen and validated when they are at their lowest ebb, when problems seem overwhelming, and they feel isolated and stuck. Counselling can help to find a way forward. Through someone really listening and understanding the unique personal experience she can help to uncover resources the patient didn’t know they had. Sharing life situations with an experienced and compassionate counsellor can help find joy in life and live wholeheartedly once again.

Halina has worked with people who experience depression, low mood and anxiety or bereavement. Halina has helped people to rekindle a relationship or part amicably, to manage life transitions like having a first child or retirement. Halina has a wealth of experience with helping people manage health issues, addictions, work stress, esteem issues, loneliness and difficulty coping.

Passionate about her work and sharing her knowledge and skills, Halina runs a department in a college where she writes and delivers courses for counsellors and support workers. She also works as a consultant trainer delivering group work on leadership and teamwork skills.

Halina lives locally with her family and enjoys walking, painting and sharing food and music with friends.
